Committed to creating a sustainable infrastructure for honey production in sub-Saharan Africa, we provide a means of economic empowerment and impact by collaborating with rural, low socioeconomic communities surrounding national parks to produce and harvest honey. We partner with local communities, organized as cooperative Producer Organizations to create and support Honey Producing Units (HPUs) by providing training, high-quality beekeeping resources, and access to market.
We provide guaranteed distribution and access to fair trade pricing for the Producer Organizations through our relationship with local and international, large-scale honey processing and packing companies. In effect guaranteeing an offtake and access to large scale markets without the interference of middlemen traders. We are also committed to supporting research that benefits bee health and the honey industry at large.
As a broad based empowerment scheme, we reinvest a majority of our profits to achieve sustainability, grow our reach and ensure the fulfilment of our mission.
