They are key to our ecosystem, and without them, life simply wouldn’t be the same.
Africa has the largest number of wild honeybee colonies in the world. However, there is great concern for threatened bee-species and ecosystems globally. Our aim is to conserve bees by initiating research and conservation action programs.
Due to prolific access to honeybees, the food that they provide and their effect of bolstering the local environment around them, beekeeping is a positive source of income for rural communities in Africa. Beekeeping also requires little land and it will enhance the crop yield for local farmers.
Through beekeeping we will also be addressing many socioeconomic and environmental difficulties facing a lot of the rural communities.
